First, get $3000 - then... Any bankers out there who want to lend? But why would all the stuff that he had done be needed to be done?

Dang! While I love the quality of Italian scoots, I'm not all that gaga over their styling... usually. But... THIS is one slick-looking ride. Looks to match the performance... SWEET!
Sounds like a winner!

Like 5k, or 7500, 0r 10k. rocky can tell you for sure what that means. I haven't gotten far enough yet to need more than fluid changes.... >'Kat

You will see them with over 100,000 miles on them. Head gasket indicates an event of some kind though with the one I'd worry most about is overheating it. Could be from lack of flushing the coolant, a cooling fan fail and not shutting it down until it overheated or soft siezed. Price though is high for a 2013 with that many miles and an event that required the head gasket be replaced. 2013 BV 350 with 11,354 miles for $2,600: fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/mcy/6010129996.htmlNo top case but does have the extra cost side stand. Note that anything before 2015 is lowered in value now since they added ABS to the newer bikes. KBB Retail is $3,500 on a 2013 BV350 so private sale in excellant condition its only going to be about $2,800 max. With an engine incident like the one originally posted here its only worth about $2,000.

Guy said it was his business partner's scooter - he moved to Chicago. Had services done before selling it for him. Has already said he could probably talk him down to $2800, and he honestly wants it out of his garage...

You don't see a Helix too often anymore. They really sort of started the whole "big scooter" genre long ago... They have a great rep for lasting forever, and have the flat floor I like, but DANG... They are SINGULARLY ugly... LOL!
I know Helix riders love them, and looks aren't everything. If I snagged one cheap though, I do believe I'd pull the plastics and try for a "nekkid" rat-look! I've seen a few of them minus the bodywork and they look sorta "steam-punk cool"... Like something from a locomotive factory from the 1800's. If you're old enough to remember the sixties' Honda "Dream" motorcycles, they were probably even uglier than the Helix, and, just as good! They "morphed" into the 160 and 305cc Super Hawk, and Scrambler models which made up in spades for the earlier Dream versions. They looked GOOD (sorta "JapaBritaEuroUSA" cosmetically) I had a 305 Super Hawk in 1968 and must admit it MAY be the BEST overall motorcycle I ever owned. It was handy: "bicycle-light", 100% reliable and absolutely bullet-proof. And it would actually cruise 2-up at 75-mph... Wish I still had it! When it's all said and done, Hondas are HONDAS and HONDA started the whole Japanese bike revolution long ago. They are still at the top of the heap, and Honda fans will always forgive their occasional "strange looking" offspring. All these scoots are good reminders of how many bargains there are out there on clean used scoots! My old Grandvista fits into that genre perfectly. (like with the Helix, I can't see how butt-ugly the old Mouse is when I'm riding... LOL!) You do NOT have to spend $3,4,5, 6, 7-grand or more to have a first-class bike (scooter OR motorcycle).Dang, this 2-wheel world is FUN!!! I ran into a guy at the local grocery store who bought TWO Helixes for $1000! Both garage kept and very minty. The white one he was riding looked like it just rolled out of the showroom.

I think the one rocky found sounds like the better deal--a little cheaper, half the miles, no head gasket scariness, and you can always add a top case if you really want one.

Sorry... No offense meant Italian scoots are wonderful, I just have a slight preference for the Vespa "turtledeck" style, or these more exotic new designs speaking strictly of cosmetics... Lord knows, my old Grandvista is considered downright "skanky, butt-ugly" by most modern riders... LOL! You should never marry, OR buy a vehicle based on looks. Yup! After all, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder... Have a bone on The Old Chopper Guy as a peace-offering, and give Peej a gallon of Ethyl and a good night's sleep. All will be better in the morning... Ride safe... Leo

Esp since that's exactly what I did and bought him on looks! Pulled into Van Wall's and spotted him in their scooter lineup outside and immediately fell for him. Broke every Dave Ramsey rule about buying and being able to negotiate (although I did get my Nolan modular for free). But who wouldn't have fallen for that shimmery orangey-red sleekness, huh? >'Kat

Kat,
I DO know exactly how you feel... I did about the same thing with our "new" Honda car... First, I fell for a 6-speed stick-shift coupe, but found the heavy clutch was a deal-breaker with arthritic knees... Dang! I loved it... Then they rolled out this incredible, absolutely like-new sedan. It WAS love at first sight... And it's not even Italian... LOL!
Ride safe!

Here is another 2013 BV350. 1,350 miles on it for $2,950: fortmyers.craigslist.org/col/mcy/6035199307.htmlThe only thing I really do not like about the 350 engine compared to the 250 and 500 is that it uses valve shims instead of having adjustable rocker arms. I believe I may have mentioned it a few times already that I hate having to buy shims and deal with close enough valve adjustments using valve shims.
