Hey folks, wondering if anyone can help me trouble shoot a 2 stroke 50cc Chironex pistol. Ive been going though the usual tests. compression -115 lbs lots of spark removed carb, cleaned jets, etc, air filter and fuel filter cleaned
the scoot is still hard to start. Typically need to open the throttle and then when it does start, it pretty much immediately dies.
what could be causing this? The carb was spotless and settings would (should) be factory

No mention of inspecting reeds . . or verifying exhaust is not obstructed?

Ok. Easy fix. Went to suck on the vacuum line to try and draw fuel out of the fuel line and got a small slug of fuel. Yum! Petcock is toast. Bypassed it and bike fired right up. I think I'll just put a manual set up in vs. messing with that junk.
