Hello again , On my Piaggio Typhoon 2013 4t 4v, i always have problem with the carburetor since i buy 2 mounths ago!
The carburetor is a Keihin NCV 20mm on this scooter with Pilot jet #35 and main jet #72. Last weekend i find the electric choke never work, the wire was cut at 2 places!!! Before i repare the choke, it was easier to have a good idle, but mixture screw was at 1\4 open! Now the choke work but carb is realy hard to adjust the idle, poor performance and always stumble...? Carburetor is clean, the mixture screw is open at over 3 turns ...
I have a other Keihin carburetor here, is not a 20mm but a 18mm! I want try the 18mm in the scooter!?
If i replace the 20mm for the 18mm did i tranfer the original pilot and main jet i have in my 20mm carburetor???
Is it dangerous for the motor, it's a 4 valve motor!
Thank's!

You just may be the very first person here who has thought of putting a SMALLER (i.e., LESS airflow, and thus LESS power) carb on their scooter!
If your idle mixture screw is that far out to get decent performance, it means you are running too lean. To fix this you put in a larger JET, not a smaller carb.

Finally i install the 18mm carburetor in the scoter! I bend the mounth for the cable and it work! I can start the scooter. I need to found the good jetting... I put #35 and #75 main jet. Now ideling is good, lost little bit top speed. In my original 20mm carb, jets was (pilot)#35 and (main jet) #72. Somebody said main jet #72 was to small in a 18mm carb!?
