On my scoot I have now its got a Kickstand Kill engine and wont crank when its down. This is the 1st one I have had with this, although it is a good idea, I dnt really like it.
I have unscewed the part from the kickstand and looked at the top where it looks to be connected but when trying to get it off it does not seem to wanna come off at all, And I dont wanna break it, Id rather have a running scoot with the kickstand Kill then a Non running scoot.
I'm just afraid it may 1day malfunction or something and even when the kickstand is up Im afraid it may not crank due to it 1 day going bad.
I followed the cord and of course it goes all the way back to the engine but Im not about to mess with that end.
Anyone got a scoot like this and know a easy way to get around it?
Thanks

Safety Switches ar either Normally Open Or Normally Closed. Most Likely Normally Closed, Unplug it, Don't run? ya just figured out if its Normally open Or Normaly Closed, make a jumper wire to hook to each end of the plug. Or on the road ya can stick a paper clip in there. Or cut and strip both wires and twist them together. To Complete the Circuit. that is all the switch on the kick stand does is complete a circuit.

I hate nanny switches as well, as indicated by P-guy, just strip both cables and tie them together, if it doesn't run, untie them and cover both ends to avoid contact with the frame or engine case.
