Ok.. Got the idea scince I have not stopped crusing gy6 scoots and may not or a while I would go to Harbor Freight or a bench top press or gear pressing. Was wondering, how many ton press I need. I did see it way back when on like scrappydog site but can't find it of lately. Does any body know off the top of there head? Thanks (sixxer)

Dunno, but it's a lot. Took mine to a local machine shop (small - they had a free-standing press driven by a 20 ton hydraulic jack) and it was tough for them to get the old gear started and off.
But a mach shop will only charge $5 or $10, even here in Ca. Why bother doing it yourself?

When the machine shop pressed mine off and on, he said he thought the gears were gonna break.
