Hey again, was wondering are there 2 typical stock final gears. I've had a yellow torque spring on my bbk 50mm and I think my last chance is to put back on the stock one but it is way revving around 42 gps and my last 80cc kit chilled til about 45ish and only then did you even need to open up the throttle. So,quetion does anyone know if there is 2 standard rear gear ratios? Thanks

If someone can explain what gy6 is saying or asking, maybe we can help. I've now read this 4 times and for the life of me can't figure out what the question is or what was said.

I believe he's saying that he has had two 80cc bbks and with one kit the rpms were high at 45mph, while the current kit the rpms are super high at a lower speed of 42mph. He's asking if there are more than one "stock" final tranny gear set that are in these Chinese engines-- I believe he is asking that because he either has a new engine or has replaced the tranny gears for whatever reason with "stock/standard" ones. As a last resort, he may take out his big yellow torque spring and put back the stock spring to see if that changes anything.
I believe the answer to the topic question is yes. My stock "secondary" tranny gears were 51/15. Member "millsc" had a few scoots that had 52/14 stock. I don't know about differences in "primary" gears for "stock" but I do know they can be changed.

Put this together last year when thinking thru the gears for my 190 Taida. Maybe it will be of some value.

He didn't mention anything about roller weights, it could be something as simple as a gram or two difference in weight. Even a really worn thin belt could do that.

Ok so, I tried my stock spring w/ 6.25 gram rollers. Good accel but same way revving low speed! Gonna try my stock torque spring and a 7.5 gram set up and I will post if that helps. I have now pretty much confirmed my new Wolf RX 50 gearing is kinda light to my old bikes. Who knows later, I may do the final gear if I can't find some roller weight that works. Thanks for imput though. Will re post ltr.

No, sutch is life. I'm shammed. Need press and gear set. I wound up taking mine to a local machine shop and they pressed the 49/17 gears I have for like $10-15.
