So, we were riding this weekend, and my left-hand mirror (from the driver's orientation) wobbled free... It appears that the mounting point (underneath plastics) has rusted away... The right-hand one still seems to be OK, but shows signs of corrosion - the left-hand one looks as if it had been welded/soldered before... I get so many correct answers from my questions, so I'm asking again - is the mirror mounting point something that bolts onto the handlebar underneath the plastics? Is this a part (or perhaps 2 or them... ) that I can readily source/replace? for your thoughts! Pardon my -ness if this is an easy/obvious answer...

If they are not mounted to the brake hardware then the mounts are welded to the handlebars. You can get clampon mirror mounts, have the mount welded (solder will not do) or get a new set of handlebars.
If it wasn't a 7 hour round trip I drop by with the welder and see what I could do.

Thank you for the thought, Rocky - too bad I'm not closer... I guess another plastic part is coming off so I can see what I've got under there...

Rockynv is right. Usually on your type of scoot, the mirror-mounts are welded on. When you pull the plastics, you may find you can grind off the broken mount and install a clamp-on motorcycle/bicycle mirror onto the handlebar, that will protrude through the plastic. Also, there are handlebar-end mounted mirrors often used on bicycles and also seen on motorcycles. Some riders really like these, but the do widen the handlebars considerably. Something to look into though. There's always some way to get a decent mirror setup on a bike... YUP! Ride safe, Leo in Texas

Way to go Rockynv! Have a bone!
Worst case, he might have to grind down the old welded-on mounts to get a "round" handlebar where the new mounts will go.
These mounts should be great for most any kind of bike!

It appears that these are not the original mirrors, anyway. I saw those mounts on Amazon - now, I just have to see where/if they would fit... I DO have at least the ONE mirror... I would be OK with making an extended hole in the plastic to allow a mirror to be mounted next to the original mounting point, if that might be an option...
