If you have a straight axle on your trike this is what you most likely will find if you need to take it apart to put in new bearings or axles or Miter Gears in the Differential. Also do not forget to add grease in the Differential. Do not be surprised find grease underneath of your center cover or back of the motor. As you ride the differential gets hot and melt the grease and the grease sips out and gets thrown out. Yes your right Miter Gears not wormy gears, The grease you want is grease that has a drop point of about 250 degrees+ so that with the heat it builds up it does not turn to liquid. Alleyoop

what grade of grease is recomened// I am getting grease on the brake disk ant tricks you know about//Thank you Fido I had that problem when I got mine also. When the bearing chewed up the axle tube I took it apart and cleaned all the white petroleum jelly out. The grease was oozing out where the little miter gear shaft can be seen in the housing. I used silicone all around the shaft and housing before putting it back together. It hasn't lost a bit of grease yet. The little shaft has a pin through it that goes into the housing to keep it from spinning. I used lucas red-n-tacky #2 grease . Roy
