I feel like a lot of cagers really believe that when I commute to work via scoot.

by "savage", do you mean the Suzuki, or the 308? Seems either is appropriate here..

by "savage", do you mean the Suzuki, or the 308? Seems either is appropriate here.. Pre-Retire I wore the same clothes riding as I worked -- black leather jacket when cold, t-shirt, black denim, black cowboy boots. And no one messed with me. Now I wear nicer jacket when cold, Hawaiian shirts, golf slacks, penny loafers. Altho' people still don't mess with me. But it could be that I don't notice. A guy said the way you need to ride -- "Zen fighter pilot." Ride calm, see everything, slip away and dodge others.

Always assume the worst from other drivers, the best advice to survive on the pavement jungle. Mostly the drivers are clueless. They go from hither to yon without noticing anything around them. They do not watch the road, they do not look over 5 seconds ahead, they barely manage to see cars and manage to stop before hitting. They tailgate others only because there is something in front of them. You can hope others to watch for motorcycles (or scooters) -- and they *will* hit you. Or you can watch everyone else and avoid them -- which is what has worked for me for 50 years.

Funny thing is people with the attitude in the sticker many times can't ride or drive well enough to keep pace with a 250cc scooter.
I can't count how many times when a rider on a Bandit, Savage, Harley, Boulevard, Wing, etc has caught up to me at a stop light and realized what they were chasing was a 250cc scooter and not a sport bike and had to comment about having trouble keeping up.
