So I just finished building a scooter out of spare parts and crud around the shed. It works great except when decelerating it whines, very loudly, like it sounds like a siren sort of it's crazy. So I took a look at everything and believe I found the cause of the issue, but do not know how to solve it. The end of the pipe where it connects to the head became messed up, and it won't go back to how it is supposed to be:

Unless it is welded at that goofey angle.......it will go back to where it should be. You just haven't used quite enough persuasion yet.

I agree welding is the correct fix..... Then again, Some RTV and a few extra gaskets MAYBE a temporary fix. Throw in some JB weld for good measure Then again, a new header is probably your best bet...... Good Luck!!!!!!!

Yeah I'm thinking of heating it up on the grill to see if I can put it back in place then. How do I hold the pipe without burning myself or damaging the pipe though haha

No need to hold anything...... Duct tape and a Hibachi should do the trick BTW, you may need a bigger hammer
