Oh look a double meaning subject This has been covered on my bike specific thread over in General, but i figured i'd move it over here and streamline it in hopes of solving it. Problem 1: Bike has died on me twice. Basically it bogs down and dies at about quarter throttle. Interesting part is that i noticed that the back wheel isn't turning when that happens. First time it ran fine by the time the shop got to it, nothing was done since it couldn't be reproduced. Second time they cleaned out the transmission. So far that seems to have fixed it, or the bell i added is successfully repelling gremlins. Problem 2: This is more of a collection of similar issues, the most notable of all happening last night: - Hard to start, requires some throttle to start
- Hard to start initially, requires some throttle to start, stalls when the throttle is released, but starts and runs fine the second time
- Starts easy, runs fine, but if i stop after a short while, one of the previous two problems occurs on restart
- Poor initial acceleration, when i first roll out i've got little go or last night no go. Last night i cranked the throttle working my way up to WOT, and the bike continued to idle as if i hadn't touched the throttle for a good few seconds, then it slowly began to rev up.
Notable is that a few weeks back i had the 1K service done, and throttle cable is fine and properly adjusted. So, anyone got any ideas what could be wrong? Is there any one thing that would cause this problem (even if it points to a system, like a multiple issues with the carb), or is it more like multiple issues?
