Another storm, another fall for the Scooter of War When i left yesterday, i forgot to check on it, so i don't know when it was blown over. The storm was bad enough to knock out power at the airport (Lambert), take a piece off a gas station's canopy, and knock out traffic lights on US 67, so no real surprise that it knocked it down. Found it that way when i got home from work this morn, righted it, checked for visible damage and fuel leakage. Other than the mirrors being knocked askew, all was good, so started and idled it for about five minutes. Ran fine, idled fine, or at least normal (not very smooth idle), but when revved, it smokes a bit and smells like its burning some oil. Anything to worry about? I'm thinking that laying down like that caused some oil to leak into the cylinder, and i just need to burn it off? Figure i should make sure before riding tomorrow as the doctor's office is 21 miles away, plenty of opportunity to kill the engine if there's a serious issue (and lets see ifn it makes it home this time).

Resting on her side oil went into the cylinder assy, etc. It will burn off during your mooring ride
