Granted I am not in the market for a scooter currently so my input doesn't really matter, but whenever I make big purchases I am always willing to pay a little more to buy quality and from a trustworthy source. I know that the internet can allow for quicker and less proper communication, but I steer clear of people who have trouble using grammar, spelling correctly (built-in spell check), and don't really answer the question you are looking for. Just my 2 cents on this thread. I understand what you are saying but have you ever thought that maybe English isn't his first language? The internet doesn't belong only to America. If Icebear is the only company manufacturing these trikes, the private label badge isn't going to turn me off. Is there a true, original, Chinese bike? I understand that there are a lot of foreigners who have opened their own business and I have nothing against it. I interact with a large population of international students through my job at my university and have dealt with language barriers in that job. All I meant is that sometimes things like poor grammar and avoiding questions can mean that you should be wary going in. Not that it guarantees a problem, but that in the future if there is a problem, communication may be compromised. I always advocate for being a smart consumer regardless of who you buy from. I apologize if I came across differently than intended. One thing to remember about Chinese made products are that patent laws in China are almost non-existent, so I wouldn't guarantee that Ice Bear is the only manufacturer building these scooters. Jim from Rapid Repair most likely knows more about it than I do though so I yield the floor to him.

In reality Ice Bear is the only manufacturer building conventional ( two wheels in the back) trikes. I answered a similar thread today. The machine is built by Huzhou Daixi Zhenhua Technology Trade Co. LTD, Daixi Huzhou Zhejiang, China. Pacific Rim Intl West, Ontario, California, Doing Business As Ice Bear, is the US partner for these trikes and scooters, so Ice Bear and Daixi is one in the same. www.icebearatv.com/about-uswww.greatexportimport.com/s-huzhou_daixi_zhenhua_technology/14433The majority of what Ice Bear sells to their dealers in the US is from Ice Bear's factory, trikes, scooters, monkey bikes, atvs ect. . They also distribute some of Jonway's ( Zhejiang Jonway Motorcycle Manufacturing Co, Ltd) scooters. The front half, as you put it, is made in their factory. Just take a look at the scooters on their site and you will see 2 wheel versions of their trikes. So if your MCO or title says: Huzhou Daixi Zhenhua Technology Trade Co., LTD then it is made in Ice Bear's factory. First 3 of the VIN will be L37, make: HUZH or DAIXI. Ice Bear also has a US patent on their trikes. Read more: itistheride.boards.net/index.cgi?board=t50&action=display&thread=4063#ixzz2dw2RpOh8Keep in mind ( as I have said before ) some dealers still want to confuse the public by renaming Ice Bear's trikes to something else. Again, that still escapes me. But, whatever a dealer wants to name the trike it is STILL an Ice Bear trike. Just check the VIN. Jim

I can chime in here so far as to MegaMotorMadness. I am currently still waiting on my scoot. I ordered on the 24th of last month and don't even have a shipping notice or tracking number yet. They have answered only two of my emails and to me that is unacceptable. However, I will say that they had the cheapest price ANYWHERE on my particular scoot. So just as the old adage states,"You get what you pay for". This hasn't been the worst experience I have had, but is starting to get close.

WOW! If somebody orders a scooter from us it ships out the next day 99% of the time and then it usually only takes 2-4 days travel time depending on how far the customer is from us. I would be a bit weary right about now.

I would be a bit weary right about now. Unless the machine is being assembled and PDIed at the warehouse, we are the same as John, usually the next day but within 48 hours. Sometimes with credit card sales there may be a day delay in processessing depending on the time of day it is ordered.
