Hello all, I am trying to choose a rear wheel for the new long case gy6 engine I swapped onto my scooter. The scooter previously had a short case gy6 and the wheel that came with it will not fit on the new engine because the drum brake on the wheel is too small in diameter. I am building my scooter up to be a dual-sport like build. To do this I want to run a legit dual sport tire but they only come in tire sizes for 10" or 12" wheels. Can somebody please help me find a 10" or 12" rear wheel that will work with the long case engine and it's bigger drum brake? Here is a pick of the old wheel that is too small Here is a pic of the long case gy6's drum brake
Here is the link to the store page for the engine I bought
Sorry I do not have more pictures or better info but I don't have the scooter with me at the moment. Thanks for any help

Somebody needs to alert that seller to move his decimal.... The engine is $3145.00 I see he sold them at $314.50 so when he relisted he probably screwed up with a decimal... From what I gather, you have a standard 157QMJ 150cc.... There's a lot of wheels that will fit that motor,,, But I am going only give you advice off of what I have worked on, and not what I think will work... Google for 13" Hunter/Phanton style rim... With your scoot originally having a smaller rim, you may need a different size shock and may need to modify the plastic and maybe even shock mounting points... I have one I stripped off a parts scooter... It has a tire with decent tread (odometer was at 2600 something miles) but it doesn't hold air... Could be the valve stem, but I wouldn't use the tire myself and would only be selling ya RIM... I don't want to go through the work of removing the old tire... But It would work good enough for all your test fitting and practice runs... The rim itself is in great condition. You will also need a spacer, swing arm maybe,..... For sure you would need the nut.... What kind of scooter of do you have exactly? I may have just what ya need.

I think my stock wheelsize (10"?) might be best to stick with so I don't have to modify suspension or swingarm I didn't think about that so your response does help. Still looking for advice on finding a properly fitting wheel though

My long case came with a 120 10 rear and a 130 10 front. It has big old dual purpose tires that work nicely. They may fit yours. I think they are taller than a standard 10 by quite a bit tho
