Hello, my fellow scooterers!
I have a customer who has a scooter that he wants me to install a big bore kit on. It is a Keeway Agora-50. I figured it was a 139QMB motor, but went over there this morning to double check. Turns out, it is a QJ137QMB motor. That means it has a 37mm bore on it. Does anybody know if the 139qmb big bore kits will work on it? It uses the variator and clutch that the 2stroke scooters use, but it is definitely a 4 stroke.
Very strange, and goes right along with the general luck that I have.

Steve your going to have to open this engine up, this is the first I have seen or heard of on this engine number. I would explain this to your customer, if you order in a bbk and it does not match up its on there dime. This is an odd ball engine number.

Thanks, John.
It's on a Keeway. It uses the 140QMB 2 stroke variator parts. I will explain to customer, and if he wants me to open it up, then you are correct.

I am hoping he decides to pay me to open this motor up. That way, we can have a reference for what parts work with this engine.
I looked at it, and it has a funky looking valve cover. Is a thick valve cover, with a large plug on the top, I suppose to provide access to the valves. It looks like maybe you can adjust the valves without removing the valve cover? I am going to work on it monday, and will report more.

Ahh Snit, I thought you had a genuine Duesenburg. Hence coined the phrase Doozy.

Th QJ engines are a 2stroke/4stroke hybrid yes. I have put 72cc BBK's on 5 for customers so far. The engine is 4T and the drive train is 2T just as you have probably already seen. Glenn
