Hello everyone. I've had my 150cc Znen Heritage Scooter for about two years now. We've done some basic repairs on her and she's been a reliable ride, but recently she's been shaking a lot and doesn't sound very good when she's idling. There are other issues as well, like her brakes, so I was wondering if it'd be a good idea to take her to a dealership or something and get her "tuned up" like with cars. Would that be worth it, or should I just sit down and work on her myself? Any opinions are appreciated.

If you have the "know how" you should definitely do it yourself, is not complicated, but if you have no clue how to do it, I believe it is better to take it to a shop and let them deal with that.

If you have the knowledge, tuning your engine yourself will help you understand it better and be in tune with it so to say

The guys are totally right. If you're mechanicky at all, then grab some tools and keep the computer close by. These fellows are real helpful. And yes, you'll be more aware of what might be happening when something starts to go bad.
If you're like me and got excited 'cause you found the oil dipstick, then let the pros go at it for you. You'll feel confident that your scoot's all good to go, rather than wondering if you missed something.

Alright, thanks guys! I'll try and handle it myself then rather than take someone to tune it up. Wish me luck!
