Looks good. Wrist Pin Circlip installation, Make Sure the Open ends of the Clip end up at 12 or 6 O'clock. For future reference you may want to make some notes/records if a problem arrises., like Ring End Gap. I figure you won't have the tools to check piston to cylinder clearance but I like to have a record of these thing's. The Piston Dome on the Valve Relief is Marked "IN" that means Intake Valve just in case you didn't know. I have two sizes of Oil filter wrenches and even the small one won't go down that small. Take your time, Go Slow, pay close attention to detail. Good Luck!

Well, it is done! BBK and head are installed; I just made the first run after installation, it took me several minutes to get it started, it was hard to start, not sure if the carb needs tunning or the starter can't handle well the bigger displacement During the test drive I notice it has troubles climbing hills, it is very weak, I didn't go further than 5k rpms since it hasn't brake in, is it normal that it gets weak during the brake in period? I will mess with the carb tomorrow and see if I can improve the response.

Its sealing really good with the assy. oil in place. Should not be "Weak" at all. Don't be concerned bout the 5K RPM's, Just No Sustained WFO. Im not in favor of a babying it during Break-in. Good Luck!

The chain was tight, is it necessary to give it a little slack?

The chain was tight, is it necessary to give it a little slack? Chain? Is it not a Bubber Rand to final drive/ Or are you referring to the Cam Chain?

I believe I've found the problem, the hose from the intake manifold is cracked, that might explain the poor performance

That can be an issue and very well would explain the poor performance

I wonder if that was the issue when you got the new carb from the shop (awhile back), or did you resolve that issue before the bbk?

Ok a non biased observation of your parts pics,,,this is not a cut on anyone,,,just what I'm seeing in the pics ok?,,looks like big valves set into standard valve seats,,,and also the boring on the cylinder is crazy off center by at least 1/8 if not 3/16ths of an inch,,,very minimum there will be hot spots,,,

If you don't have a spare get duct tape and get creative. Just for a test ride, nothing else, order a new one ASAP lol.

I believe so, one day it stopped giving troubles and worked fine after that, maybe the carb moved because of a pothole into a position where it sealed the crack, and now that I had to move it to install the BBK, it started giving troubles again. I'll find out tomorrow if that was the the reason of the poor performance, I did duct tape the hose, lol, will see if I can find one locally.
