It sucks its blurry . how do you like the speedo cam ? It is to be expected when recording with a device that does not have shake-controls, especially when mounted on a vibrator on wheels. It's cool, I was thinking of editing the video to have tons of deers running past and make it look like you were just missing all of them lol, but then I thought that would be mean. Actually , wait until I post the last part of the run . its the rd that I hit the deer on . I can tell you were it is in the video by looking at the time , that will be great , lol.

I just noticed the pic stabilizer on my phone was off . I wonder if that works with the video also ?

I'm having issues uploading the video , so in the meantime here are a couple screen shots of the video . it shows the mph + coordinates and time . the first pic is a pic of the scoot hitting 76mph down a medium hill . the second is a screenshot of one of the straight runs of the video. I hit 66 mph at around 7000 - 7100 rpms. I have 15 gram weights in . 14.5 gram weights were too light . I hit 7500 rpms on a straight run but the belt wasn't climbing as high on the variator. So I'm gonna have to finish tuning the CVT with the main clutch spring. I need a 1500 main spring. The 2000 rpm main wasnt letting the clutch open until the rpms were too high, even with 16 gram weights . the stock main was open fully early and the 16's were too heavy. So , the 1500 main should be perfect . it should allow the rpms to rise , and with 15.5 or 16 gram weights the clutch should open fully while in the sweet spot between 7300-7500 rpms. The 66mph screenshot was not from the straight run . the straight runs are on the first video " the one that starts at the light . there are two straight run shots where I hit 66 and hold for awhile. I have more room for improvement also. I'm only at 7100 rpms or so . I need to get the 1500 rpm main spring , then I'll be closer to 70mph.

On the first video " of the last two " at 6:26 and 19 seconds is the top of the hill where I hit the deer , but in the opposite direction.

You've got that thing humming, buddy. I was checking out the thread you made on your variator earlier. That's a nice variator. I just ordered a nicer variator, but it's not the really nice kind. I really like the K&S variator , its just a little harder to tune in . this variator is much more sensitive and has to be tuned with the main clutch spring also. The first koso I ever bought was pretty good , but the others were almost impossible to tune and get good belt climb. I was running 9.5 gram weights in the last couple Koso's and that was with a 2000 main clutch spring. You did a great job tuning that thing up. I just did the 50mm BBK on my 50cc Jonway. I put in a 1500 clutch spring(those are a pain to get in the first time. The socket that fits it is the absolutely biggest socket I could find. The nut is a 38mm, but I couldn't find one in metric that big, so I found a 1-1/2" socket, which equals 38.1mm, and it worked!) Some 8g weights came with the BBK, but those kept me at about 5700 rpm, which is too low. The new variator I ordered came with 5g, but those hold me at about about 7300 rpm, which feels too high. I have some 7g ones coming in, and I think if I mix those with the 5's, I will be in the good. We shall see. I also got the 11 pole stator in. I hooked up the 7 wire reg/rect, and it has 3 DC outputs. I'm running everything off of DC, except the enricher, and the tail lights. I have 130 watts of lights hooked up in the front! It handles that no problem. I ride about 35 min in the morning in the dark. I have a little Tim Allen in me, too, because that is probably more than too much light, heh heh.

I have the full video downloading to youtube. I added some music ! The only thing is for some reason the mph and stuff did not transfer , not sure why? I was at my parents and saved it to the media player and that's where it cut out the speedo .

I'll make a new one and see if the stabilizer works for the video .

I have a 150cc engine I'm going to scrap soon, transmission is in impeccable condition. He stock main spring is 1000 rpm . some say its lower but mine seems to be a 1000 rpm

This is what's possible with a small bbk and a good tuning job . 66 on a straight run and I have some more room to improve . can't wait ! You don't need to go all out with a big bbk a to reach the 65-70mph range. Just a good variator a good fuel delivery system and a good tune !

Last month I almost hit a John Deere... EEEWWW! Pitch-dark secluded 2-lane, no moon... no lights or reflectors on the old green tractor. You really got the little scoot scootin' ! Good work! Have a bone on the old chopper guy. Ride safe! Leo in Texas

I should probably mention that I weight 211 lbs right now . I could imagine if someone who weighed about 170 lbs or lighter would ride my scoot . it would run a lot better ! Or maybe I should just loose the extra 40 lbs and find out for myself , lol. That's what I should weigh anyway. 40 lbs is a lot of extra weight for these small cc engines. I was up to about 225 !
About 15 years ago I thought of a great invention . I called it a weight vest! It was a vest that had a number of pockets which would each fit a rectangular 2.5 lbs weight. Every time you lost 2.5 lbs , you would add a 2.5 lbs weight to the vest." There would be pockets on the front and back so the weight was distributed evenly " . this would be great for athletes or even mma fighters " which are also athletes" . your legs and body would still feel as if you weighed 30-40 lbs more , and if you only took it off right before a game started , man you would feel as light as a feather. When I was in 10th grade I ran a 4.5 sec in the 40. This would have been very useful then .
But of course my genius idea fell flat on its face when I looked up weight vest on the internet and saw my invention already for sale !!
