New Taotao 150 gy6 oil light on must be a wire or sensor problem. Where on the gy6 would I find the sensor ?

Oil lights work on a mileage or hours of operation basis, level or a pressure gauge, or have a sensor that checks acidity based on resistance and capacitance of the oil. Check your manual, if it's mileage or hours of operation, there should be a reset somewhere.

Mine has an indicator light that comes on every 1000 miles or so, and has to be reset by holding down one or two buttons on the dash. Some scooters have a low oil light. I tried to look yours up but google is being VERY stubborn about keeping information on your indicator light a top secret. Can you give us the exact model of your scoot?

Have same scooter bro. Mine just clocked 1k and oil light came on. No info on the web that I found. Started messing with the buttons and I found that if you hold down the bottom button labeled ADJ and turn the key off and back on while holding it, resets the oil check feature. Hope this help ya. I thought for a minute that I had low oil pressure but it's a factory deal that reminds you to change your oil every 1k. I change mine every 500 miles. Peace
