How's it going . I was wondering about the holes on top of the shroud. There are two holes that are cut out to hold hoses. I don't use either one to hold any hoses and was wondering if I should close them off ? The holes are about 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch and let out a lot of air. One hole is on top of the cylinder and head but the other is close to the fan before the air reaches the top end. The one on top of the top end may help let heat escape but the one before the top end , I can't see it helping any since the air passing by has not yet reached the top end to grab any real heat. What would you do ?

My shroud is cracked in a few places, long cracks, and so far simple electrical tape has held it together by just taping long along the cracks. If in doubt, put some tape on it

The fan cover they sent me does not even have that cutout . the hole I covered was on top of the main upper shroud. There is one on both sides of the manifold . the sides of the cutouts are pushed up so I guess they can hold the hoses against the shroud.
