Was fine, then stopped for gas, and it started, but chugged, not much power, then was okay for a few minutes until i got home. Then wouldn't start, thought was bad gas maybe, so I siphoned the gas out and changed with fresh, then it took awhile but started and was fine for a minute down the road, then chugged again and cut out. changed the spark plug, then wouldn't start at all. Grounded the spark plug to the valve cover, and other spots, checked for a spark and saw none. no spark. is it a cdi or coil or what? thx, Robert

Poor contact on the spark plug is a very common problem. Do you have a spare coil to check if that's the problem? A bad contact on the CDI is also very common, try moving the cables on the connector, if that's the problem, a temporary solution is to put hot silicon inside the connector holes to keep the cables in place.

cant find the cdi... where is that? not sure on your scoot. on the scoots i've had my cdi was mounted to the frame near the battery and on my 150cc was near the solenoid. it will be mounted to the frame, just keep looking. no guarantee the cdi is your problem but i would eliminate the possibility first.

sounded like mine until it came to the no spark. When I fill my scoot with too much fuel... it doesn't vent properly and the vacuum petcock doesn't work properly. Acts just like yours... just I still have spark
