So update on carb, received an email from TMS, they apologized for the issue and offered to send a new carb at no charge to me. So waiting on a response, I do find that OK but should not have needed to. Relaxing for a few then putting the other carb on and hoping it works don't want to have to wait another week before I can ride.

So should have the tracking info for the new carb, in the next day or so. Just hope it is a NEW carb and not one that had been laying around. Will update when I have more information.

Quick update on my situation... They offered to refund me what amounted to $33.33 per carburetor. I considered it a fair amount... You can get a brand new quality PD24J for that amount....
A friend of the family wants me to install a new engine on their sons broken scooter for his birthday... All my Keihins are spoken for already so I'm glad TMS decided to honor the post sale... I would have of had to come out of pocket and jack the cost up and they don't have much money in first place.... I'm doing the work for free, just the cost of the engine.

Yea they seem to be an ok company to deal with, wouldn't suprise me if they get the motors in from their supplier and then just sends them out never actually checking them. I just hope that it is a new carb they are sending me and doesnt take too long, I miss riding already.

This video I only published now so you could see the tear down and what's on the inside of these engines... It was not ready to be published as it is part of a video series I'm doing on how to convert to 4 valve and install a BBK.... I'm not promoting it yet, but no harm sharing it in this thread... I mentioned you all a couple times, couldn't think of what to call you so I chose buddy! I figured it was better than "some guy on the forum" LOL  |

Update to this, have not received an e-mail with tracking information, however just received a call that the carb has been delivered. So after work today looks like I get to open a package hope it is really new and install and see how it runs  |

So just got the box opened the carb is just as dirty as the original one. Hopefully it will work, will find out after work.

It didn't save what I said , anyway, I checked they were not bad, however is missing the gasket for the fill bowl, I sent them another email letting them know I am not happy, if this carb doesn't work I am telling them to refund me or I will dispute the charges with the C.C. that was used.

They seemed pretty reasonable to me... At first they offered replacement but I demanded cash value of the carburetor... However, I would have let them send me a carburetor if I thought I wouldv'e got a new one... See, if you check their store on ebay, they have 1000's of items listed, but only 2 GY6 items... Long and short case complete engines... No parts, no accessories, just the two engines... SO I figured if they were going to ship me some carburetors, it would be either ones that have already been sent back and they (TMS) cleaned, or they just would get them out of another new engine box, hence sending me another crappy carburetor... |

Yea that's exactly what they did I bet, so they are giving me a refund of $30.00 for the carb, I can get one on line for under that with free shipping, but then have to wait for it to get here, or the scooter shop here has chinese carbs for 45 or kenhi for 60.
