Looking into getting a dashboard cam for my car people drive too crazy in south Florida. I've already been in 3 accidents that I didn't cause since moving here and I got screwed on the last one because I couldn't prove the woman cut me off. Anyone have any experience with them, any recommendations? I literally know nothing about how they work or store info or anything.

Dash cams are a little different than regular video cams. They are usually wired into the vehicle acc. switch so they start recording when the vehicle is turned on and stop when it is turned off. Most of them use a memory card. They usually record on a loop and will hold many hours of video, when the card is full they will record over the oldest files. Here is a good sight to help explain some of the features. and help you determine what kind of camera is best suited to your use. dashboardcamerareviews.com is a good place to start. But search around. Hope this helps.
