From what you describe, it sounds like too much fuel is entering the carb and making it's way out that hose. The hose on the carb is normal, but fuel coming out of the hose isn't. Take apart the carb and check the float for damage-- there shouldn't be any gas in the float, so it may be damaged. Check the float needle valve, too, it's supposed to stop fuel from entering the carb once it reaches a certain level. I second this . you should not have fuel coming from this hose. I'd def check the bowl for float issues. At the same time I'm not sure why hitting a bump would cause the scoot to cut out , if this is the only issue. I'm just gonna take it apart and clean it good with carb cleaner but before I do I'm gonna check the float and see if it shuts off fuel. I don't get a lot of fuel dripping from the overflow just a drop every now and then. The bike only has 2500 original miles on it I don't see why I should be having any issues. But the 1st owners were an elderly couple that bought it new and when they died I bought it from their son. So it might have set awhile

When I had that problem, I rose the needle by 1 clip (made it leaner) and it went away and ran much better. Iain> The needle does not have adjustment on it like some gy6 carbs do. I've seen gy6 carbs both ways.

I have a 2007 Honda elite ch80. For some reason when I am going down the road if I hit a bump my engine looses power briefly. It really has me puzzled, I have checked all my wires they are tight with no bare ones. I swapped out my coil thinking maybe the end was bad, I have taken the carb off disassembled it and cleaned it and nothing has made a difference. I also checked the fuel line for kinks. If I sit on my scoot and have the engine running and bounce on it the engine doesn't cut out, if I go over a railroad track or hit a bump while moving it cuts out. Any suggestions Godfella..... Your problem is likely electrical. I know you said you checked the wires, however I suggest you - CHECK AGAIN. A while back I had a scoot exhibiting the same exact symptoms... I pulled the faring off and got to my harness... After CLOSE inspection, I discovered the yellow w/black stripe wire and green ground that run from the CDI to coil had been sandwiched in between the frame and body panels. Whenever I hit a bump, it would arc the two wires together and kill the scooter. I'm not saying this exact malfunction is your problem, but I would wager money it's something similar. My guess is it is electrical related and you're wasting time looking for fuel and air leaks...

I finally figured out my problem. My intake tube is half broke. When sitting still there's enough pressure against it to keep the crack mostly closed Then when you hit bumps the carb bounces and opens it up.

Now all I need to do is find the part. Every website I have looked at says the part was discontinued. I found one on eBay but the seller doesn't know what kind of condition it's in.
Does anyone know of a salvage yard in the US?

That page has nothing to do with the part I need. I need the intake tube. That's the part that goes from the carb to the engine.
And I didn't even know that a plastic welding tool was available. I was gonna take it off and gorilla glue it lol
