ok 13.2 what are you getting at the ignition switch? Sorry at the battery 13.2. For some reason I get 5.2 at the wires at the ignition switch. How should I go about narrowing down the problem from here. |

recheck with the ignition off I took off the ignition. And the reading is 5.6. Should it be 12v? |

should be 13.2 ,read the voltage across the fuse.

should be 13.2 ,read the voltage across the fuse. John I do not have an inline fuse on the positive lead to the starting solenoid. It is built into the solenoid itself. Just by unplugging the starter solenoid and getting a reading from the positive key switch wire? |

John Ok so I am just gonna upload a picture of the ignition and starter solenoid to google drive and make a folder. I noticed on the starter solenoid that there is 3 wires going into it. I tried to get continuity through the ignition power wire and battery positive and could not get any. ok what you have is different from a scooter set up. one side of the starer relay/solenoid should be reading battery voltage. lets see the cdi, the plug and wires and colors. Photobucket.com then upload the pics there then you can do this;   john |

what is this thing called?
Do any of the wires on the cdi have the same color on the ignition switch?(the pink)
Do you have power at the solenoid?
