1987 Honda Elite ch8 , 80cc . Has front end wiggle ... feels like a nut is Not Tighten or some thing . I have driven about a 100 miles and scooter tracks good ... but if you wiggle the front end , it is very noticeable , very sloppy .
I have the Shop Manuel and exploded view of various nuts and washers . That is where I will start looking for gremlin .
Any ideas ?

Donaldelectrician Try first tightening the handlebar nut and bolt, if it still wiggles try the nuts on the top of the steering stem under the handlebar area. They are huge thin nuts, one on the top of the bearings and another ontop of that nut to lock it in. Tighten it until it feels like it is hard to move it side to side, then loosen it to right before it gives resistance to moving side to side, then lock it in with the other nut.

If tightening doesn't help it may be broken, but I have rode for 6 months on a crooked tripletree, not advisable, but manageable if you straighten it as much as possible and tighten it up. My frame is actually crooked as well in the front end (someone backed up and OVER my front end totalling the front end once). I have managed to make my front end as straight as possible by straightening it with a mallet in the cold. It is still crooked but I don't have any wiggling issues.
