Hey everyone I have hit my 200 mile mark in my 2014 Jonway Solona 50cc and need to do my first service job on it, if anyone has any advice or suggestions I would really appreciate it thanks

NC17 Oil change , clean out the oil filter screen , look for any larger metal particles . check the spark plug to see how she is running .at this point there is not much to do besides keep in an eye and ear on how she is running. Did you already check the brand of belt and the quality hoses on your scoot ? You need to make sure it is not running lean |

Everything is stock on it including the fluids I want to get a Kevlar belt for it though it runs like new I adjusted the idle an eighth of inch up to deal with the low idle bog but other than that I have not messed with it

Its also good to replace the stock oil before you start it up , if u didn't I would do it as soon as possible. If you air fuel adjustment screw is sealed , u will need to unseal it so you can tune the carb properly. If you are not running lean its not that big of a deal but if u r running lean its the only way to adjust it. Unless you up jet , and even then u will more than likely need to a just the air fuel . |

I am a big noob with thisscooter thing lolAll I know is I bought it new did nothing but the adjustment to it and was told that after my 200 mile mark to change oil, fuel filter, and add fuel additive but he was a general dealer with general knowledge which is morethanI have lol Im not even going to pretend I know what you are talking about brotha lol the only thing I have found on my own was the idle adjustment screw thats as far as I have gotten

If the air fuel screw is sealed it will have a brass cap over it , and you will need to drill a hole in the cap to be able to reach it. This will allow you to richen up the mixture if you find out you are running lean. Running lean will cause problems such as over heating , and other major top end problems. TBA I don't necessarily see the point in replacing the fuel filter in 200 miles but then again who knows if there was anything in the tank at the time of purchase. Many usually replace the stock vacuum hoses because they are usually low quality and tend to crack and dry rot really quick. |

Thanks brotha I plan on doing a BBK for it need more power going up hills kinda nerve racking when you got a line a cars behind you when all you can go is 15 mph lol going full on power pack 3 with it 100cc big bore racingCDI high performance exhaust etc the works

Having cars on your a-s is the reason I modded my scoot also . that kit looks pretty good . you will also want to do some work on the CVT . like a performance variator and some lighter roller weights.

How light are we talking and do you have a link to a good performance variator When it comes to 50cc variators , if I'm not mistaken 5gram or 6gram weights are a pretty common weight to change to. Many also go with the koso variators . we have been having some issues with the Koso's for the 150cc but I haven't heard anything bad about the 50cc Koso's. You can also check out " gy6racingteam " on eBay , they are located in PR , and have always had very good products besides koso. John on the site here also deals with scooter parts but I'm not sure if he has any other performance variators other than koso. |

Even with my BBK I still ride at about 30 in cities, and cars still line up behind me, even when I ride close to the side to let them pass, haha. The thing is, cars will ALWAYS feel like they are going slow when they see a scooter and aren't passing it. Even when I am going 40 on 30 streets cars still will go up to about 50 just to pass then they will continue at that speed. I believe it to be a perceptual thing, they perceive theirown speed to be low because there is a tiny engine vehicle going as fast or faster than them. |

Of course I have a 150cc , but its nice to be able to pass cars on a rd where many cars are going 60mph. I passed a buddy of mine Saturday morning and I ended up seeing him at Walmart. I told him I was looking for a scale so I can get my CVT tuned so I'm able to hit my top speed . he said " you had to be going about 65 , I was doing between 55-60,and you blew by me " . I said ,yeh I was probably around 65 but my rpms are a little low and I can get a little more out of her. |

Don't change the weights until you have done the BBK. You won't know what you need with the extra displacement, and you could end up ordering sets of weights that you don't need. Also, stay away from the racing CDIs, instead order one of tvnacman's advancing angle CDIs, it will help prevent kickback on that BBK during start up. |
