A pair of hemos that are curved might do the job?
EDIT: just don't drop them in the case!

I think what had me confused was him saying he was going to use penetrating oil and use a rubber mallet. I'm not sure what and where he would spray penetrating oil ? If its the crank bearings forget spraying with penetrating oil and have fun trying to even reach it to spray it , especially with the piston in the jug hole of the case. Hopefully its jammed up somewhere other then the crank being bad .

At this point , why not just remove the side panel , check the starter gears and then check everything on the variator side. Make sure nothing is jamming it up ? If its the crank he has to junk it anyway , so leave the piston on and remove the crank. If its something else jamming it up , find it fix it then the crank will spin freely. No need to break your back trying to remove the piston especially if the crank is bad . or should I say break your fingers. Either way its pointless to remove the piston if the jug is off. He's going to have to open the side panel or the whole case .

The suggestion for penetrating oil and a rubber mallet was when I thought the piston was stuck in the jug. Looks like we all should re-read before posting, would save a lot of confusing posts.

Well hopefully this saves him from drenching the thing in penetrating oil and smacking it with a rubber mallet. Tba I'd like to see that one . I wonder how he did it ?

Hey jerry , you forgot to tell him to use a few harsh words ,lol. Actually wouldn't be as bad as what I did the other day. I had the CVT cover off " I had just replaced the roller weights " and I heard a slight noise coming from the variator , it sounded like something rubbing on every rotation . so me again being the genius that you all know I am , I decided to slightly put some pressure on the boss as the variator rotates. Yes i did ! I decided that instead of be safe and use an inanimate object , I would use my middle finger on my right hand. And we all know what happened next , lol . the variator pulled my finger right in and under the belt . thank god the clutch pulley opens , because it opened slightly loosening the belt , the scooter stalled and I quickly grabbed my finger . I was a little hesitant to look at it , I was expecting to see only half a finger. But to my surprise it was intact , a little bloody but it was fine . about 1/4 inch longer for a couple days and almost twice the size of the middle finger on the other hand but OK! Yep can anyone else say genius ?

Soak it with diesel and let it work for a day, then try to move it.
