Agreed: That particular area has little to no room for tolerance "play". A little "play" on one component could cause failure: "Play" on several components or the entire shaft-to-stator-and-flywheel is asking for a frustrating project.

I went to crank up my scoot today and noticed something was rattling behind the muffler. My flywheel came loose. The nut to tighten on the flywheel was not tight.
Now the key notch on my crank is a little rounded on the left side about 2mm.
The flywheel notch is destroyed.
I'm officially screwed.
It's crazy how the smallest thing can make money disappear from your wallet the fastest.
Now I think I need a new crank. Please tell me there is a solution to this problem.
Any donations?
