Is it safe to lay the scooter on it's side to transport it in a van? I need to move my ride NOW from my boy's garage and I only have a friend with a van available with low headpiece so need to lay it down. Is this safe for the bike and the carrying vehicle???

I'd ride it but all the streets are ice and snow 2inch+

Take the battery out so acid does not spill and empty the gas tank, oil should be fine no need to drain the oil BUT lay it on its right side MUFFLER side, not the cvt side.
