I have a cfmoto Fashion 2009 250cc Ltd. Edition. The engine just says 172mm and has a serial number. I have not found any other markings to go by. Does anyone know how to identify this engine so I can order parts for it? EDIT: Markings in trunk say "cf250t" is that the info I am looking for?

I think the belt is a 906 , I know the 906 will work . You might do better on thescooterprofessor with a 250cc .

Sounds like you have the 244cc Helix Vertical motor. They only put two types of motors on the 250s Scoots : Alleyoop

Actually they do make a different vertical 250 engines, the CN250 and CF250 are supposed to be identical with a few tweaks here and there. One is shorter than the other and most of the time they put the Cf250 in carts, ATV's and buggys but have been known to put it in a scooter also. The output wheel shafts can vary also.

Alley suggested the 828 belt, and when I punched in cf250t, on ebay, I got the same belt. I went with that. I need a few odds and ends to make this bike complete. The throttle grip is missing its end cap. The ones I see online have end caps that expand into the tube, but this one has threads on the end. It looks like 14 x 2mm pitch. I don't know if they are stock grips or where to get a new cap. Here's the left side cap: and here is the throttle side: I also need the little rubber cap that goes on the coolant reservoir bottle. Does anyone know where to get the odds and ends pieces?

You might try to find the odd bits on ebay. There is a coolant overflow bottle there now that has the rubber part, it is a bit pricey though. But the best bet for that part I think is here: www.alpha-sports.com/Parts/c_2007-2011fashion.htm?q=cfmoto-partsAt the left side of the page, click on cooling and you will be taken to the diagram page. The reservoir tank cap is part#12 on the diagram. They have the reservoir tank cap for $2.70 It looks like your handlebars are different than the Honda though. And I didn't see the handle bar parts like you have there at any of the CF Moto parts suppliers I looked at, so I don't know what to say about that.

I think now I still need a lower left rear body piece that goes over the CVT, and a chrome throttle grip cap. I got a variator for it but I took that for my bike, so I may have to get another one. I think I'm about finished though. Just in time for tax rebate season. I did buy a used panel piece but it is not an exact match. It was a good deal though. I may use it if I can make it look decent to match the bike.
