Now that we have moved on to a new year we would like to take this time to reflect on the past year of 2014. The age of hostility among the scooter forums is history. We have coexisted amicably for over a year now. In fact we have a friends drop down menu with links to the other forums. We would like to take this a step further with direct links to our brother forums. It Is The Ride is the continuation of our old Scoot Dawg with a twist and a lot of fun, Scooter Professor is tech driven, and Scooter Doc combines tech with lots of chat. We invite you to use the provided links to see what the other forums have for your edification and entertainment. The admins and staff of the forums hope you will utilize all of the resources provided by all of the forums. That's why we are here. May 2015 be the year of all good things for you, and the forums.

It was not a pretty picture my friend, be glad you missed it! The never ending trolling, the senseless waste of bandwidth, the overwhelming inhumanity! There's even hushed whispers in the sub forums around the dark web that more than 10,000 vespas met their doom during one of the battles! Be glad you didn't have to live through it my friend!

JR,
I think it's going to be a good year! The one site that seems to me to be "in limbo" is the great old ScooterRebels site. I just love that site, but "ItIsTheRide" really covers the same areas, and more. When I did the banner art for ItIsTheRide, that's sort of what Doug communicated with me. I still love the old ScooterRebels site, but I only have time to really participate in one site, so I stick pretty much with ItIsTheRide.
At any rate, these sites all contribute a lot to the enjoyment of the adventure! The world of scooters now covers every type of ride (regardless of how many wheels they have... LOL!) from 39cc basic transportation, to 700cc+ highway cruisers. Still fairly "separate" from the true motorcycle fraternity (though now, being much more accepted) the universe of the step-through, the small-wheel and the CVT tranny has matured into a fraternity of its own. Being an old (ah, feelin' REALLY old nowadays) big-biker, I'm MORE than happy to be part of this marvelous new scooter-fraternity.
All my best wishes for all the sites!

Leo (wishin' it would get above freezin' again) in Texas I'd be totally lost without you guys. I have learned a lot in just a few months thanks to all of your help.

Just a little side note, Leo, Old Chopper Guy, created the original Scooter Doc banner. It's quite a work of art! I'll talk to JR, maybe we'll put it back up in recognition of the new year of reflection. Thanks Leo, I'll never forget what you did for the Doc back then:

I began to enjoy the regularly scheduled threads like "More Macho Monday". I enjoyed countless other threads too.

Thanks for the kind words, guys and gals!
I got started doing the scooter banners WAY back with the original "Scootdawg"... I guess my personal favorite graphics are "Rebel" Doug on the Cushman Eagle on the ScooterRebels site, and of course, his cartoon pal, Daisy... These days, the old eyes aren't what they once were, but I still do the best I can.
Ride safe, and enjoy the ride!
