Tell me if I got this right. Out from the key switch I have some wires like this: Red, green, black/white, and black. Red is power and runs from the battery to the regulator, and the key ignition. Green is grounded out to the frame. Black/white runs to the top of the 2port on the Cdi. Black is um.. Where does the black wire coming out of the ignition run to?

It is called "switched power" it energizes turn signals , horn , electric start and brake lights . when the switch is turned on or put in the run position , the red feeds power to the black , then it spiders out .

Oh ok, so the red and the black should be connected. Thanks!

just match the same color wires to the wires coming from the scoot, if you need just remove all the wires from the wire harness at the end of the ignition switch and put them back in to match the wire harness from the scoot. To remove the wires, use a small flathead screwdriver and gently push the pins in that protrude from the terminals that hold them into the harness, its is usually easiest to put the flathead in from the side where the terminals are, though I have seem some funny looking harnesses before that require it from the other end where the wires go in. Then before you start putting them back in gently push the pins back out on the terminals, they should be obvious to see they are like cut out of the terminal usually close to the end where the terminal clamps onto the wire. I usually put my finger behind the pin and push it out towards my finger with the flathead that way I cannot push it too hard without my finger giving my brain feedback to stop lol
