Hey Jim, I was waiting for you to put something up to give both of the guys a clue as to what they may see and how the shifting inside works. I did not see anything coming and thought well maybe he is to busy and might forget about it so that is why I chimed in. I found the pictures in my Trike Folder, the first 2 pictures are from you. The last 2 pictures which are close ups and really clean shows all the detail are from MIKE6736(MAGGO) from Florida. I edited the pictures to show what is what and how it works. MIKE6736(MAGGO) from Florida he has a Magnum 300cc Trike with the independent suspension. He also had trouble with changing from forward to reverse so he just unhooked the cable at the tranny and locked the lever all the way back and does not use Reverse. He said the Trike is very easy to push just like mine. Alleyoop I don't get on but about twice a day now, mostly in the AM and then later at night. Jim

I also have a 2010 magnum 300R with independent rear suspension. The reverse lever is on the left handle bar. I use reverse a lot because I find it hard to push this 600 pound trike up hill. On level ground it is not to hard. I have not had a problem yet. But I do check the adjustment often. I think if the end of the dogs on the gears and slide were rounded off on the corners it would engage smoother.

You got it Roy being square like they are is a very tight fit and have to be right on to get pushed in there. The rounding can be done to them very easily and I think like you it would shift much smoother. If I had one that I had to take apart that is what I would do. Alleyoop

Yes it has Clutch Pads, the clutch pads grab the bell which turns the shaft that turns your Drive Sprocket with the chain which turns the differential. They are Full of it if they say it is the Clutch Pads, they just want to blow you off.
Man oh Man they got you by the hairs if they will not send warrantied parts unless a mechanic calls for them. If you have a friend or know a mechanic at a gas station that will also work. They really don't care as long as its a mechanic.
If you are not ready or capable to tackle opening it up and their isn't a shop around you that sells them your best bet is a Lawn Mower/Tractor/Snowblower shop they know all about how it works. Lawn Tractors/Big Snowblowers have reverse. Alleyoop
