My belt broke and I had to change it on the side of the road, I had to push the clutch with my hands to make the belt fit since I had no way to remove the nut and put the variator out to replace it properly; after it was replaced and I turned it on again I noticed the clutch remained open, making the scooter hard to get speed, I had to push like a skateboard before it could go on its own, after it gets speed it runs without problems, think like if tried to get a car out on 3rd gear. Not sure if I broke the spring or if a piece of the broken belt got inside the clutch and jammed it.

There is a good chance that a roller is out of place in the variator . If it were the clutch I would expect the belt would be loose while you were not moving . The variator should be open fully when u are not moving , and if the clutch were stuck open the belt would be very loose . Did you check the variator ? Usually when a belt breaks the rollers will get thrown out of place . That's not saying that you don't have anything belt peices stuck in the clutch or even the variator . Best thing to do is take the cvt apart and clean it out so u can figure out the problem .

That makes sense, it is making a weird noise and vibrating harder than usual, like a machine gun, I guess the rollers are stuck out of place and stopping the variator. I don't have the proper tool to get the variator nut out, I'll take it to a local garage and see what they find. Thank you very much!

No problem, your right the noise is more than likely the loose rollers flopping around as it spins . Just be sure to check for broken belt peices in the variator and clutch , they will also cause problems if they get in the right places.
