I'm still trying to sell my car after a deal fell through. I'm thinking about taking an offer for some cash & a Jeep Cherokee. It would be interesting to then see what I can trade the Jeep for. It seems to be a popular model. I figure it's worth about $1000 or a little more. I guess the trick is to find someone with something, almost anything, worth $2000 who is bored with it but who really, really wants a Jeep? Has anyone here ever done a string of trades? Were you able to trade up?

howdy, i put an add to sell or trade my pickup for a touring motorcycle and have had some responses but have no success since they all seem to think their motorcycles are worth twice what kelly blue book says they are. i don't know but when i mention that my pickup is worth more than their mc , they go away. my pickup blue books for 5900 and for example the owner of an offered '82 honda goldwing that blue books for 2400 thinks it is worth 4000 bucks. i don't have the skill to negotiate..
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken

I ended up doing the deal for the Jeep. I also got 2 lawnmowers & a nice chainsaw in the deal. I screwed up when selling the Jeep. I put it on Craigslist for $950 & people were flooding my computer with emails. I should have said $1400 or best offer. New deal in the works. I used to collect loose emeralds. I'm trading most of them ($300 worth) for a non-working scooter. It's got the chassis & motor I'm looking for for my streamliner project. It's a 2011 Taiwan Golden Bee! 49cc 2 cycle with 13 inch wheels & dual disc brakes. It's geared for only 45mph top speed but is supposed to have great acceleration. Review

Some of the Harley builders I have known were skilled tradesman. They would trade their skilled labor for parts or even entire motorcycles. For example, a guy I used to work with was a concrete finisher. He would form and finish a concrete patio in exchange for a frame with title or other desireable parts.
