The p in the 1p39 means the engine has been modified in one way or another . Also the roller weights may not be the same causing one scoot to run a little higher rpms thus more power and better top end .  |

I bought my new engine from eBay about 3 yrs ago . I about died when I saw the 1p39qmb and the 50cc on the valve cover. After doing some research I found out they were importing them like that because it was cheaper and in some states you can have a 150cc and not need a motorcycle license to ride the scoot . Supposedly the p in that location meant the engine had been modified in some way .
