Trying to find out where the idle adjustment is on my Chinese MEIDU 150cc scooter 2011/2012. Have already looked at the tech manuals online here and for a non-mechanic, it's overwhelming, plus there isn't one manual for a scoot that even looks similar to mine. It's still running but needs a tune up, BUT I'd like to adjust the idle before it zonks out completely at the rough idle it's resting at. If anyone can advise me, I'd certainly appreciate the asistance! Even if you have just some chinese scoot, perhaps it's almost the same with most items in about the same place. Thanks in advance!!

It is your basic Chinese scoot and here is a Meiduo model: Alleyoop Also here is a picture of the carb on there and Notice the IDLE SPEED screw with the spring under it on the Throttle cable side. Turn that clockwise it raises the idle counter clockwise lowers the idle. Alleyoop Left Side of Carb: Right Side of Carb:

i have another question alleyoop are you personally familiar with these chinese scoots? i have the spare part for controlling the flashing turn signals which has been dead since a few months after i got the scoot due to a nice pothole in downtown SF. i took it to a shop that didnt do anything, though i even gave them the part to replace. yes, they did charge me BIG for it too. i have looked several times and havent found it. i took off the front cover, the back cover to the steering column (which the knees smack into), and havent found it. i have asked online and at many shops, but no advice given. when i mention it's a chinese scoot, they basically hang up on me. TRUE! DO you know where this black round part is, attached to a red connector as seen in the carb pix by a 4" cable shrouded in black? it's just the flasher relay switch. the part i have the wires are black green yellow. thanks again

All I can tell you it is up front someplace zip tied or just hanging. When they put these scoots together it all depends on who and how the person doing it at the time feels(HAHA).
The Take a picture of you scoot so we can see maybe it is inside the casing around the handlebars if not there then it would be under the front cowl someplace. But you can get the flasher at an auto parts store they have them in 2 and 3 wire versions yours is 3 wire and they are 12volt flashers. Easy as pie to change out. Alleyoop
