You are going to need to flush the case to get rid of all the shavings from sawing out the piston. The last picture shows the crank covered in metal chips and flakes. You may even need to split the case to fully clean it all out.

Yes that is a AC CDI, so what is the problem now? Is it getting gas to the carb is the fuel tank higher than the carb or is the fuel tank up in front or under the floor board? Have you checked if your getting spark? Do you have a ground wrire from the motor to the frame , usually a wire on one of the valve cover bolts and then to the frame? Alleyoop

When i sawed off the piston i made sure i carefully covered the hole for the cylinder. Im still goin to change rhe oil though. It wasnt getting gas to the carb which is why i took off the head cylinder to see the piston... The gas tank is on bottom below the floor matt. There is a ground going from my cover to the wiring. I replaced the ground going from motor to the battery. I was getting spart but i still want to replace the cdi to a performance one though. I also did a compression test and it failed. Thats another reason why i looked at the piston and found out it was tore up. ksaun123, tvnacman, JerryScript, alleyoop

thats the power for the cdi , I cant see how it ran unless the pin is in the harness plug and just broke off .

i dont think the pin broke off because the wire is going directly into the cdi, not even touching terminal. The terminal cables are really short and the red wire is really long too. there is no butt connections on the wire or anything. i never seen anything like it neither its just weird to me which just makes me want to just fix it asap. tvnacman

I have to agree with TVNACMAN, that RED wire on the Plug in the 4 forth pic is the POWER WIRE for the CDI. And may I say the plug your holding only plugs into the CDI one way it has a tab that locks it in. Cannot see it because your holding the other way around but that lock tab has to be cut off that plug otherwise it will not plug into the CDI. I do not see how it ran, looks like a hot wire job. I do not hot wire my scooter nor was it stolen! I just unplugged the cdi from the plug so it fits on. I never said that wasn't the power to the cdi, i knew it was. If anybody is accusing me for stealing the scooter feel free to delete me from the forum or what ever makes you feel better. I never stole anything in my life. Ill just find another forum somewhere else. alleyoop

I did not say you stole it, I said from the wiring job it looks like it was hot wired or someone tried to steal it and hot wire it. I mean that red wire on the two PLUG HAS TO GO TO THE BOTTOM where the pin in the CDI is missing BRO. The Black and white wire on the two plug is your KILLWIRE that works off the KEY OFF and KILLSWITCH which goes to the top one on the 2 PLUG of the CDI. What that does is GROUNDS out the CDI so it does not release any voltage to the COIL. So if you want to leave by all means and you can delete your own account I have no reason to ban your young butt right this minute. Alleyoop Just so you know what is what on a CDI, 3 & 4 are Ground the others are all fixed positions on a CDI and if you cross any of those slots things do not work so well.
