I been wanting to add a performance exhaust to my 2012 Puma Valentine, but my scooter dealer is telling me they do not make one for my model has the side frame sits too low. I looked online and I even showed the scooter shop this particular model that says it is for retro scooters and he is saying it wont fit. www.partsforscooters.com/190-41_retro_exhaustdo I have any options at all? I would prefer to spend as little as possible, but still get soemthing decent. Something around $150 max? thank you - Ital

xyshannen I do not mind the sportier exhaust look on my retro scooter, as long as it does not hit my frame. I am a bit on the fence to buy a $60 exhaust from ebay as I think it will turn orange in a matter of weeks... I would like to get something a bit better quality as I wish to buy this once. Do you think the one that I posted in my link would fit? thank you - Ital

I'm not familiar with your scoot, but the pic of the one you linked looks to have a mount that is intended for a scoot with dual rear shocks. So if you only have one shock then no it won't fit.
And not to be a downer, at your price range you are going to have a hard time finding an exhaust that isn't going to need "some" modification to fit properly. Even the one I bought I had to put in a vice to bend the tabs so they would reach my mounting holes.

GEH convinced me the biggest problem with the stock exhaust is the exhaust manifold (pipe), not really the muffler.
So I bought a better (larger diameter) manifold, drilled out my stock muffler, and will soon take this all to my muffler shop to have them welded together. Easy, very inexpensive, effective.
And it fits my retro-style scoot.
