So I have this little Jonway Agility yyqt-60 that i bought about a year ago second hand, it's 2012 was 50cc. Then i fried the rings on that after a little performance upping. So i installed a BBK in January of this year, and that killed my crank. So a few weeks ago i put this 44mm stroker crank in from STG with a new BBK and it has been a nightmare to get running. First the manifold gasket broke, i bought a 150 gasket, easy. Then i drained the gas (it had sat for about a month), now it started but still backfired and popped. My brother tells me his did that when it was getting too little gas. So i upped to 105 main jet and now i can start and run, but it still pops subtly and i get little speed. Like it struggles to hit 35 downhill. I have two more larger jets, but my issue is.. every time i took the carburetor off there was smoke pouring out of the manifold. it was just a clear smoke, not thick, so it's not leaking gasket or ring. Is this normal or am I screwed again? This thing has been a nightmare since i bought it. Parts list; - 44mm STG Stroker Crank
- 82cc Big Bore kit 50mm
- A9 Performance Cam with matching Rocker Arms
- Performance Variator with 6g rollers
- Standard Replacement belt (will be upgraded when wallet allows)
- Performance clutch and bell with 2k springs (i hear that's what most people run with the crank)
- 14/47 Racing Gears
- 60mm uni intake with 1.5-2.0in L and straight. (air is no problem)

If it backfires that is usually a bad air leak and usually by where the header connects to the motor, or you have a cracked pipe. Also when does it BACKFIRE and or POP on acceleration or deceleration?

It pops lightly on Accell, and my power is terrible. the manifold is new and fine, i just put a new spacer/gasket in so that's good, the exhaust is alright as well.
It seems to be going away as I up my jet, but My worry is that the manifold has smoke in it when i remove the carb. I wanna make sure that's nothing serious before i throw the 110 or 115 in.

If it pops getting up to speed or at Wide Open Throttle your MAIN JET is to big, you have to go down on the MAIN JET to much fuel. If it pops coming down to idle that is to lean but you can get rid of that by richen up the Fuel Ratio Mixture or if the IDLE is to low LOWER than 1500 raise it up a little the 50s and 150s like to idle around 1500-1800 rpms. I'm idling around 13-1500 when warm. and the thing that's getting me is it pops only when i lower the jet. i ran a 100, and it popped mildly, went down to and it straight backfired, then went to 105 and it's quietly popping now. I can get that working, but what i'm worried about, is the smoke coming out of the manifold when i pull off the carb. it's not smoking out of the exhaust.

UPDATE
I have not added more gas, because even though it quiets the popping, the intake manifold is coated in extra gas..
However I have figured out that my chain tensioner piece is broken. when i removed the top part of the shroud to check for oil leaks, for the hundreth time, i realized it was coming from the tensioner, and when i looked closer i could see it cracked in half. still in place, but broken. probably part of the issue there.
I have got to get this thing running soon, it's annoying how every time i get close, something else has to break.
