I was looking at NYC scooter parts, I read that they test their parts to make sure they work. Is there a better place?

I don't think any other parts places are doing any testing . I'm the tester for nycscooterparts.com . I'm also the buyer packer shipper . What are your questions or concerns ? The phone number is in the banner and is ment to be used .

Sweet! I'm going to be buying a coil and Cdi from you probably on Monday. My name's Doug and I live in indiana. I just want to make sure that they're good before I put them on, and if they go bad after install I'll know I have some other problem. Thanks!

Yes I do. I checked it according to the video and it showed ok, but I'll probably double check here in a little bit. Can a bad stator ruin these ignitions?

I have reversed the power and pulse wires and the cdi continued to work . That does not mean it is in your case .

I think I'll take the flywheel/rotor off tomorrow and see what stator to buy and just replace everything at once, so it may not be until Tuesday until ordering parts

A few voltage measurements may save you some hard ache . John

I understand your concern and appreciate it, however riding season is almost up and I don't ant to wait on parts . I can always keep them as spare parts if their not needed

When you installed the new coil, did you plug the wires in the same way as stock? On my orange coil, it wouldn't start until i plugged them in reverse (Black on green, green on black). Fired right up then.

I have tried switching the wiring at the coil, but it had no effect.
It appears I have a package waiting for when I get home from you, John. Hopefully I can get everything put on this weekend and see what happens.
