Nice bike!, Heck if my seat was white I would probably have left it alone. The black PVC on mine just looked cheap to me. I'm not knocking anyone who has black PVC seats, just minet looked especially bad.
I don't know that doing a seat for anyone that's not local would be feasible. The work + the amount of leather involved wouldn't be cheap then on top of that, they would have to mail me their seat. There is just no way I could make a universal fit cover. It has to be wet molded to each individual seat. If someone was inclined to do all of that I wouldn't say no, but drumming up bis was not the point of this thread.

I really like our style of bike. They do stand out. The leather work DOES sound like a lot of work. I have noticed that the Chinese bikes leave a little to be desired in the fit-and-finish category, but it gives you a lot of opportunity for customization. Good choice. I'm actually thinking of a "rat-rod" look for mine. It wouldn't take much more than some brown primer, red wheels with whitewalls and maybe a big 8-ball sticker. We shall see ... we shall see ...

One note on the seat that Lance used is that it was a ribbed PVC material that worked out very well in a humid Semi-Tropical climate. It was much nicer to ride on when its over 100 degrees out 99% humidity then a smooth vinyl or leather seat and would dry very quickly if it got rained on. While the leather looks nicer the original seat covering on my 2007 Lance was a very good and functional choice for riding in the type of weather we have in Tampa Bay and South Florida in general.

The seat is beautiful. Really superb work!
Seamus26: Nice to see a shark in the pic! I recently sold my 86.5 after 10 years. Kinda have mixed feelings about letting her go and I still visit rennlist from time to time. Sigh.

Thanks! It was a fun project. Now I'm looking at what else to do. I'm open to suggestions.
