Hey guys,
While I was riding yesterday, I was cut off by a fantastic Arizona soccer mom who then promptly slammed her brakes on, causing me to hit my brakes and lose control of my bike (rookie mistake, I know). Anyway, long story short I dropped my bike onto its left side going about 15mph. Aside from minimal cosmetic damage (the scooter was less banged up than I was), I didn't notice anything strange with the engine. I picked it back up, started it, and got right back to riding. About 5 miles down the road, I noticed my scoot losing some acceleration, and a few seconds after that, it was dead and rolling. I pulled off to the side of the road and tried to start it again, and nothing. It's electric start will crank the engine but it wont catch and kick on. My kick starter is toast. I tried again tonight to start it, and it fired up for about a second before dying again, and doing the same thing it was any time I tried to start it last night. I'm not entirely sure where to start with this issue, so any help would be appreciated! My scoot is a 2004 STRADA Euro RX125.
Thanks guys!

Try checking the coil and the spark plug boot , it may be loose . Do this first and let us know your findings .

Will do both of those. Only issue with my scoot being that the engine compartment is completely covered by the fairings, so I'll have to take them off beforehand in the morning.

Sometimes when a scooter gets laid on it's side gas will flow out of the tank vent and fill the evap canister. There is supposed to be a check valve in the vent line but they don't always work. This plugs the tank vent causing negative pressure to build in the tank thereby stopping fuel flow. This will show you how to get rid of the evap system. itistheride.boards.net/thread/5847/evap-pair-removal

you should be able to get a good shot of the engine by taking out the bucket under the seat

This is the engine from top view. When I opened her up I noticed a small hose leading into the engine that had not been attached, so I went ahead and pushed it back on and clamped it down. However after doing this, I went to reattach my battery, and tried to start it. Now it won't even turn over. All I can hear is a faint clicking noise coming from my positive battery terminal.

Your battery may be low , from trying to start it . You can jump it from a car . Leave the car off just to be safe " even though I never do " . Let us know what happens .

Alright, well after two days of racking my brain on the issue I still have nothing. I went ahead and replaced the battery as well as the spark plug, and it's still not running. It's still turning over but not catching. I checked the spark plug wire to make sure it was still plugged in completely, which is was. But I still can't seem to find the source of the issue.

Does it have spark? pull the spark plug, snap the boot back on the end and hold the gapped end on the valve cover while someone holds a brake handle and cranks the engine over.
Does it have compression? While the spark plug is out hold your finger or thumb over the spark plug hole while cranking the engine. If you finger/thumb is blown off the hole you should have sufficient compression.
Are you getting fuel to the carb? Pull the fuel line off of the carb and let it dangle in a cup. Pull the vacuum line off of the intake manifold and suck gently on the line. Fuel should then run into the cup while you are sucking on the vacuum line.
Put the spark plug back in (just snug it down good. Too much force and you might strip the threads) Either spray some carb cleaner in the nipple on the intake manifold, or dribble a little gas in there and try to start the scooter. If it pops/trys to run then stops you aren't getting fuel from the carb to the cylinder.
Let us know what happens.
