I rebuilt the lower end yesterday, cleaned and lubed pins and it feels better already. now I can feel some binding in the brake lever which I'm going to do today. it's a pain to get to because it has plastic over the handlebars.

ok, hope this fixes it. it was all cruddy in there with what looked like aluminum oxide. I cleaned and hit it with some grease. seemed to take out the bind. now if it'd just stop raining I'd take it for a test drive.
oh yeah, dont think it was the abs after all. no matter how hard I squeezed there was no pressure release. who knows if that thing is even working at all.

If no pressure on the lever it probably has air in the system, take the cover off the top of the resevoir and gently squeeze the brake and it will squirt up a little so do it gently not fast otherwise it will squirt all over the place. If it had air in it you will fill the lever getting harder to squeeze then just put the cover back on.

no, there's pressure. I just meant there's no drop in pressure like the 'abs' was kicking in when I put some real hard pressure on it.

I don't think he meant " no pressure as he squeezes " , I think he meant no loss of pressure as he squeezes . Atleast hats what I got from " no pressure release " . But I may be wrong . Hey Scott did you keep the so called abs on the brakes?

I think you did the right thing by leaving them on . They are not real abs so they're probably working just right now lol .
