Here is their website: norcopowersports.com/index.php?route=common/home I have been looking at the Lifan LF250 v-twin cruisers online. They are new, leftover 2009 models. I remember that I had heard they were pretty good motorcycles. This place has them for $1499. But, shipping to Hawaii is $450, bringing my price to about $1950. I hadn't heard of this seller before. Anyone owned this Lifan motorcycle? Thanks, Jon in Keaau, Hawaii .....with two back to back nasty storms heading my way.

I have a 2005 Lifan LF-250 which has about 9,400km (aprox 5,800miles) on it. I got it used about two and a half years ago with about 1200km on it, and it did not live an easy life before I got it. The previous owner apparently left it parked outside and had no idea on how to maintain it. After sorting out the problems from the previous owner, like adjusting the brakes and the clutch, it is a good bike. It does have some quality problems, however, those problems seem to be limited to the quality of the rubber components, thin chrome on the spokes resulting in rusty spokes, and the paint on the frame. The rubber on the turn signal mounts is really going bad, as is the rubber covers protecting the brake linkages, while the fuel lines and the rubber on the foot pegs is of good quality and shows no signs of degrading.
The Lifan LF250 is an exact copy of the Yamaha XV250 and all of the important parts are interchangeable. (Also see Scrappy Dog's website and banner add for parts.) So, if you need any technical help working on the bike you can go to a Yamaha XV250 forum to get the information. The only difference looks to be the fenders and the seat. In my opinion the bike is a good deal at $1950.00 and a real steal at $1499.00.
