Hey Guys I haven't been on for a while but now I need some advice . I recently got a Goped Sport 29cc on E Bay and here is what I found According to the seller the scooter was in good shape .Had upgraded the exhaust, handle bars and installed a new carburetor . On inspection I found No filter on gas line ,Starter rope housing had one piece broken off, the welded tube that the kick stand was connected to was damaged .some part on the exhaust is missing ,and there is a part of the filter screen behind the carb that is missing .The first problem I found was when I ordered some parts to fix up the motor I find that the new plug that came is too large for the plug hole and on contacting the dealer they don't have a answer as yet. One thing I noticed was that there is what seems to be a size reducer ring in the plug hole that fits the existing plug but is too small for the plug that is listed should be there. I have tried to start the motor but there is nothing and the pull seems harder then it should be. The overall appearance of the scoot seems pretty good but I would doubt if it has been ridden in a long time .One clue was the gas tank was BONE dry which would indicate to me that it was not used for some time before it was sent to me . I don't have any history that came with the machine so I am kind of in the dark and could use some advice. This Goped is listed as using a Zenoah G430 RC or (G43LS ) motor 41.5 cc motor 29cc 2 cycle with compression of 7.5 and 2.5 HP .Walbro carburetor . I am using 30:1 ratio gas and oil according to the seller and spark plug is NGK CMR 7A 9specs call for a ( NKG BPM7A) he plug end is black and carb seems to get gas OK .Bulb fills up and return is working OK Bought parts from Goped .com for first time as I figured they would be more familiar with this model. Any one out there have got one of these Gopeds ? I could use some advice Thanks Crawdad 27

Hi Crawdad, Good to see you back, if the plug is black sooty that right there tells you to much fuel, if it is covered with oil then to much oil in the mixture. Have you checked for spark first thing to do if you have spark then maybe the carb just needs to be adjusted. Alleyoop
Here is a good Video on how to adjust the carb on it:

alleyoop Thanks Al - Haven't got it started yet as one thing the spark was not the one for the motor and I had a hard time find Inga one to match the original one .Have done that now and I find that the gas lines are installed in the wrong holes intake has to be in the top hole I understand so have to take lines out and reverse as the filter is hooked to return line . I tried to start today with new plug but re reaction ,so I will change lines and try again. I sold my trike last week .Sure hated to let it go but I would have to licensed etc and that would be $184.00 and then I doubt if I would be out in traffic that much Age is catching up on me ! Thanks again if I have any more problems I will be in touch Verne

Well I''m back --- Installed a new spark plug today (still don't know why this plug is different from the spec plug ,anyway it is installed .I also switch the gas and return lines as they were in backwards . Put gas in and tried to start but nothing ! I will check the plug for spark tomorrow .Carburetor seems OK from the outside .It is clean and there are no leaks in the gas lines or around the carb. I put a little oil through the plug hole and let it sit overnight without the plug in it pulls OK , but once I put the plug back it is a hard pull. I watch on You Tube and they all seem to pull real easy .There is compression .If no spark what do I check next? These don't have a magneto do they ? I don't see anything on the specs lay out. I cleans up the air filter and filter and lightly oiled it .the red switch is tight and works OK.I used the rubber button and it is OK also and has no cracks and is easy to push on ,not stiff. There is a screen missing from in the air filter area that I am going to replace tomorrow ,but that shouldn't have anything to do with not starting. I looks like a simple motor so what ever the problem is it should be easy to figure out except I haven't been able to that yet. Do you have any more ideas . I have your information on the carburetor and I will adjust it but I was going to wait until I got it started but if you think I should do it now ,that's Ok . Would you suggest that it start from scratch on it ,like a new carb as if I can't get it running I really can't do a tune up to it . Let me know OK ?? alleyoop started a post earlier but hadn't finished when I hit the wrong button so disregard it! alleyoop
