Hello all. I just joined because I was given a 2006 Coolster F5 and need some direction. I have no knowledge of what company manufactured it and the owners manual is VERY generic. Is there a web site hidden somewhere for coolster under another name?
The scooter kick starts but bogs down when twisting the throttle. I'm confident it can be fixed by cleaning the carb. The other issue is no electrics work. No elec start, lights, horn... none. That problem seems it should be relatively easy because everything is not working. Maybe a main fuse or ground?
Any help would be appreciated

Got a picture? Is there a model code or manufacturer info on a rivet plate under the seat somewhere?

Thanks for the images. It looks like a Chaunl/Longbo. Any idea as to why the signal lights and horn work with no problem but the headlights are very dim?

I looked on the post from trailheadmike (thank you) and seems like mine is doing the exact same thing. However, it ended with no result or exact fix.

Headlights require the most amount of amperage to make the light bright. If the electrical system is weak, the headlight will suffer the most.
Unfortunately electrical issues are the hardest thing to troubleshoot and almost impossible unless your hands are on the project.
Afraid I'm not going to be much help in this case.
