I've recently notice my wonderful Burgman 400 is burning or losing oil at a rate that is not normal
I've poked around other web sites and found this is not at all uncommon and is a design flaw by Suzuki.

I do have sustained speeds to and from work of 65-70mph. I've also put in an after market K/M air filter, which is where I'm hearing the issue might be.

I've attached a couple of links that discusses the issue. I'm just wondering anyone here experiencing what I am.

I hadn't noticed it during my first year that I owned it. After about 2500 miles or so, (currently 11,000 miles) I changed the air filter and spark plug, I also began riding it faster than I had....around 70mph for a 15 minute period. Not sure if this has anything to do with it? I have emailed my mechanic to see if he's ever come across it or not.
