I'll looking to buy a Roketa MC-54-250B in a few months and want to consider buying local to avoid shipping charges and get it the same day without having to wait a week or two. I live in the central Texas area and can travel to Dallas/FW, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. I believe Dallas has a big distribution center there but I don't know if they sell direct.
Any experiences with buying local versus shipping? Would I need to do some of the PDI before driving off, or should it be pretty much ready to go? I'll of course be doing the full PDI with fluid changes, new fuel lines, etc. at home.

It all depends if it is on the showroom floor then I am sure it has been setup already. But if it is in a CRATE then nothing has been done. You can pay them to do it and get it running for you before you go and pick it up. Or have the crate sent to your house and you put it together. Alleyoop

Yeah, I'd prefer it still be in a crate since I am trying to save money. Although if they had one already out together and running I'd consider it. I'm mainly wondering about any recommended dealers in Texas. I've called one place in Dallas (they sell on Craigslist, but I can't remember the name) but was turned off because they don't accept credit cards. I will be paying by credit card for a little extra buyer protection. I basically just want to skip the week or two it will take to get delivered and save a little money on shipping in the process.
